KemanaUangku?
Overview
KemanaUangku? (“the app”) is an Android expense tracker. Your financial data is stored on your device. The developer does not operate a server that receives your data and cannot see it. The only time data leaves your device is when you turn on Google Drive backup, described below.
Data the app handles
- Transactions, balances, spending envelopes, cycles and settings, entered by you or recorded automatically.
- Notification content from apps you select. See “Notification Access”.
- Backup settings, such as your schedule and the Google account you connected.
Notification Access
The app asks for permission to read notifications. It only acts on notifications from apps you explicitly choose to monitor. From those notifications it extracts an amount and a description to create a transaction. A bounded history of the raw notifications from monitored apps is kept on your device to let you review how a transaction was recorded. Notification content is processed locally and is never sent to the developer or any third party.
Google Drive Backup (optional)
If you connect a Google account, the app can back up and restore your data using Google Drive.
- Scope:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata. The app can only access its own hidden application data folder in your Drive. It cannot see, list or modify any other file in your Drive. - What is uploaded: a copy of the app’s local database and settings files. The five most recent backups are kept and older ones are deleted.
- Where it goes: your own Google Drive. The developer has no access to it. The backup is not additionally encrypted by the app and is protected by Google’s account security and encryption at rest. Anyone with access to your Google account can read it.
- Control: you can disconnect at any time in the app. You can delete backups by removing the app’s data from Google Drive settings or by revoking access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Restore: restoring replaces the data on the device with the selected backup.
The app’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data Storage and Deletion
Data lives in the app’s private storage on your device. Android’s own cloud backup is disabled for this app. Uninstalling the app removes the local data. Backups in your Google Drive remain until you delete them as described above.
Analytics and Crash Reporting
The app does not currently include analytics, advertising or crash reporting. If any is added in the future, this policy will be updated before it ships and will state what is collected and why.
Third Parties
Apart from Google Drive, which is used only when you enable backup, no data is shared with third parties. The app does not sell data.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
